So, I joined this group to listen in and hear what this means to you. Do you have a practice that you call trance yoga? Do you go to a class?

At the last trance party we threw, it started with an hour of Yoga, I could see classes done to music, but for me, I think Trance Yoga means bringing the conciousness of Yoga to Trance, so maby for me the proper definitian would be "the Yoga of Trance"

I am cirious though, are there any groups who practice yoga to trance music? anyone in Mass interested in getting something together?

For me, I'm a trance dj/producer and I practice yoga as well. I do my best to integrate the two practices in my life. Before I play live, you will almost always catch me doing Yoga stretches and breathing techniques to get focused. Overall, I think the term "trance yoga" is a term that emplores rather unorthodox practices in yoga. Traditionally, yoga is practiced in silence. This is done in order to silence the mind. With trance yoga, we utilize music that helps get into a trance that , in turn, clears our minds. It's a key to the gateway of the astral plane.

Hmmmm. trance yoga. I just stumbled upon this tribe and found it interesting. I found trance before I found yoga, so for me, yoga added new dimentions to my already existing relationship to trance. I spin fire, so yoga encouraged me to become more flexable, move more like water, and endurance. Mentally, I feel more centered, I feel more confident of my surroundings, and I think yoga and the teachings I have come to embrace has given me more perspective in the scene. To me, there is one thing that trance and yoga have in common, the ability to just be. No focus on outside factors or attachments, focus on the energy and frequencies I'm emitting.......it's furthered my journey and given a whole new spectrum of colors I have yet to understand. Yoga has added to my arsenal of tools I use to connect and communicate with those around me, just as trance is a part of who I am, so is yoga.
